The city government of Marikina led by Mayor Marides Fernando staged a year-end concert started 7 p.m., at the Amphitheater, Riverbanks Center in Brgy. Barangka.
It was attended by around 60,000 people
This year they featured the Apo Hiking Society as their guest band,that`s why the event was entitled MarikinAPO kami.
Several rock bands and Marikina's stage actors also performed.
City officials and APO hiking lead Marikeños in renewing their New Year's resolutions, and in re-committing to Marikina's values: discipline, patriotism, and social transformation.
Grand fireworks display cap the year-end concert. Admission to the event was free.
